Bailey's Town: Udine

Our first full day in Italy we spent touring around Bailey's town of Udine. It is a town of about 150,000 people...not small! But fun and quaint still.

Last time I was in Italy, I was captivated by the doors of Rome. This time, I was entranced by the shutters. This is really the bavarian influence since Udine is so close to the Austrian/German border. These are all working shutters that actually get closed nightly! So enjoy the next many pics of windows/shutters.

I will post more tomorrow...this was just day one of the trip...and only part of the pics of day one. Just a taste of what we saw and experienced along the way.

I Am Like the Goose!

Home from seeing my fabulous daughter, Bailey, in her new home in Italy. What a blessing for me to be able to go and see where God has placed her for the time being. She has a great apartment in the city center and is able to walk most everywhere. There is great bus service and train service to go anywhere further than where would be feasible to walk. It was great to see her really fitting in! She even cooked a great meal for me one night...Bailey is not one to enjoy cooking, but she really made a terrific meal and I think, got a kick out of serving me!

I am humbled at God's goodness! He has placed Bailey in a place where He is growing her and I am confident will use her to His glory!

As goose says in Charlotte's Web, " It's a proud, proud day!"

The Journey Begins

So I begin my journey to see Bailey in Italy!

Too Quiet!

Rawley doesn't take regular naps anymore, but today, things got awfully quiet and I began to wonder....hmmmm...where is Rawley?

Fortune or Premonition?

After our Chinese lunch yesterday, this was in my fortune cookie.

So? You say...well, Tuesday I leave for Italy to visit Bailey while she is on her mission trip!

How awesome is that?

I can't wait to post pics as I go!

So Many Possibilities!

Our family seems to be in a season of wondering what God is going to do! I love being here! It means that the possibilities are endless...will things change? will we go somewhere? where does God want us? what does God want us to do? The doors are all wide open at the moment! I love it!

Ben has options: seminary? not seminary? here in SA? not here in SA? too many others to mention!

Bailey has options: stay as a missionary? come home and start work? come home and go back to school? what school? too many others to mention!

I have options: teach Bible studies in the spring? teach one study in the spring? does God want me to serve other places? too many options to mention!

I can't wait to see what God has for each and every one of us!
